To turn a webinar transcript into action items, obtain and check the transcript in Damas, then separate explicit commitments from recommendations and your own proposed follow-up. Prepare the action list manually or optionally in another LLM. Damas supplies editable text and a built-in summary; the custom task list is a separate drafting step.
Start with a supported source
Damas supports public, on-demand YouTube, Instagram and X video links up to 90 minutes. It does not support private, restricted or live content. You need iOS 18.6 or later, an internet connection, Premium and consent for AI processing. Submit only content you are authorized to process.
Make a useful overview
- Copy the eligible video link and provide it in Damas on your iPhone.
- Use the available transcription and summary tasks, following the current app instructions and reviewing the AI consent.
- Wait for processing. The source, audio and connection affect how long this takes; background processing and notifications help you return later.
- Read the summary with the transcript or recording nearby.
- Edit and copy your notes once you have checked the important points.
Separate commitments from proposals
Read each candidate passage with the question and answer around it. Record the action, supporting passage, condition and status: explicit commitment, recommendation, proposed follow-up or unresolved. Copy an owner or deadline only when the source explicitly connects that person or date to this action. Otherwise write “not stated”; the presenter is not automatically the task owner.
A recommendation does not become a team commitment because it appears in a summary. Keep source verification separate from approval and completion: an item can be accurately checked yet still await your decision. Repeated advice can be merged only when its conditions agree. Retain conflicting advice as separate unresolved items.
Fictional example: a webinar about document review
This is an invented teaching example, not a quotation from a real recording. Suppose the presenter recommends testing a review process on one document before expanding it, but names no responsible person or date.
- Recommendation: test the review process on one document. Preserve the condition “before expanding”.
- Owner: not stated. Deadline: not stated. Do not assign the presenter or invent next Friday.
- Proposed follow-up: ask your team whether to run the test. Label this as your proposal, not the speaker’s commitment.
Optional prompt for another LLM
Only share the checked transcript with another service if you have permission. This is an external workflow, not a Damas integration or automatic task feature. Example copy/paste prompt:
Use only the checked webinar transcript below. List candidate actions with supporting passages, conditions and status: explicit commitment, recommendation, proposed follow-up or unresolved. Include owners and deadlines only when explicitly linked to the action; otherwise write “not stated”. Do not invent facts or quotations. Keep my proposals separate from speaker commitments. Source: [link]. Transcript: [text].
Replay the supporting passage for every item, checking negatives, names, dates and conditions. Keep the original link and webinar title with the list. If the recording becomes inaccessible, leave unfinished checks unresolved. Confirm any proposed assignment with the people concerned before treating it as agreed work.
For the text, follow video transcription. Use summaries for orientation and translation for another language; check important wording in the original.
Processing time and accuracy vary. Damas does not download media, embed subtitles or process offline. Premium cannot make inaccessible content available.
