To summarize webinar questions and answers, prepare a transcript and built-in summary in Damas, then match each actual question to its supporting answer passage. Split multipart questions and mark each part answered, partly answered, unanswered in the recording, or unclear because the audio cannot be checked. Damas provides editable, copyable text; you build this question-to-answer record manually.
Prepare an accessible recording
Damas supports public, on-demand YouTube, Instagram and X video links up to 90 minutes. On iPhone, you need iOS 18.6 or later, internet, Premium and consent for AI processing. Process only material you are authorized to use. Private, restricted and live videos are unsupported. A recording that you can watch in your own account may still be inaccessible for processing.
- Open the recording on its original platform. Keep its link and title in your working note.
- Provide the supported link in Damas. Follow the current app instructions for transcription and the built-in summary, reviewing AI consent before proceeding.
- Wait for processing, then use the summary to see the overall discussion. Return to the full transcript for the actual questions and answers.
- Replay important passages to check names, numbers, negatives and conditions. Confirm who asked and who answered from the recording rather than assuming paragraph breaks identify speakers.
- Edit and copy the checked text before preparing your manual Q&A record. A summary may omit a question or qualification that matters to you.
Keep one record for each part of a question
For each question actually asked, record a paraphrase of the question, its supporting passage, the answer passage, conditions and answer status. Split a question with two parts into two checks. Listen to the whole answer and later discussion before classifying each part as answered, partly answered or unanswered in the recording.
An inaudible response is “needs checking,” not evidence that nobody answered. A referral to another resource records a referral; it does not establish the contents of material you have not reviewed. Keep those distinctions visible instead of filling the blanks with outside knowledge.
An answer to a similar question does not automatically answer this question. Combine questions only when their scope and conditions match, keeping their supporting passages separate. If a question appears only on screen and is not read aloud, inspect the video yourself and label it “checked on screen.” Do not attribute it to the speech transcript.
Fictional example: one question, two parts
This is an invented teaching example, not a quotation from a real webinar or a description of a Damas feature. Suppose an audience member asks whether a document-review method works without a connection and whether it preserves formatting. The response addresses only the connection.
| Question part | What to record | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Connection requirement | Paraphrase only the response actually given, with its condition and supporting passage. | Answered only after listening confirms it. |
| Formatting | No matching answer located after reviewing the response and later discussion. | Unanswered in this recording. |
| An unclear follow-up | Preserve the audible words and flag the missing phrase. | Needs checking, rather than answered or unanswered. |
A positive overall summary cannot turn the formatting question into an answered one. If the speaker points to a document, record that reference as a next check. Do not invent its answer, a responsible person or a deadline. In your real record, retain only what the actual source supports.
Check the record before copying it into your notes
For each line, confirm that the answer addresses the same question and retains its negatives and conditions. Use quotation marks only for exact words checked against the recording; label your shorter wording as a paraphrase. A checked response records what someone said and does not prove that the underlying claim is true.
No external LLM is needed. If you optionally copy the checked text into another LLM to draft the record, share it only with permission and request supporting passages and unresolved parts. That is a separate external drafting step, without a Damas integration or automatic Q&A format. Review every proposed pairing yourself.
Keep the original link, webinar title and unanswered questions with the final record. Start with video transcription for the text. The summary guide covers the overview; use checked webinar actions if you later want to propose follow-up work. Do not treat an unanswered question as an assigned task.
Processing time and accuracy vary with the source, audio and connection. Damas does not download media, embed subtitles or process offline. Premium cannot make inaccessible material available. If the recording becomes inaccessible, unfinished checks remain unresolved. Share the finished record only within your reuse rights.
