To share checked video notes with source passages, copy reviewed text from Damas into your chosen document, then pair each conclusion with the passage that supports it. Give the recipient the original video link, the scope of your check and any unresolved points. Before sending, read only the handoff note and test whether its evidence actually supports its conclusion.
Prepare text you can review
Damas accepts supported public, on-demand YouTube, Instagram and X video links up to 90 minutes. On iPhone, you need iOS 18.6 or later, internet, Premium and AI processing consent. Process and share only material you are authorized to use. Private, restricted and live sources are unsupported; public media may also be inaccessible.
- Open the source and keep its original link and title.
- Paste the supported link into Damas and follow the current transcription instructions, reviewing AI consent.
- Wait for processing. Use a built-in summary for orientation if useful, then return to the full passage.
- Replay the source to check names, quantities, negatives and conditions. Edit and copy the text only as far as the recording supports.
- Prepare the handoff in your own document. The structure below is manual, not a Damas sharing or citation feature.
Make a small evidence packet for the reader
Start with the question the recipient needs answered. For each conclusion, add a separate supporting passage and explain what it establishes. Select enough surrounding speech to retain the condition or exception; a shorter excerpt is not useful if it changes the scope. Keep separate passages separate rather than stitching them into a quotation.
Use four fields: conclusion in your own words, checked source passage, limit of the evidence, and remaining check. Add the source link and title above the records. If you used translated text, label it as a translation and retain the original passage. Quotation marks belong only around exact wording checked against the recording.
Now hide your working transcript and read the packet alone. Can someone tell which conclusion each passage supports? Does any conclusion go beyond the passage? Narrow that conclusion, add the missing checked context or mark it unresolved. A checked account of speech does not prove that its underlying claim is true.
Fictional example: a result that cannot be generalized
This is an invented teaching example, not a real video quotation. Imagine a demonstration reports that one sample document opened successfully, while a later passage says other formats were not tested.
- Reader question: does the demonstration establish support for every document format?
- Supported conclusion, as a paraphrase: one sample opened; broader compatibility remains untested.
- Evidence to copy from your real source: the checked result passage and the separate qualification, each kept intact.
- Withhold: all formats work. The successful sample cannot support that conclusion.
- Remaining check: find separate evidence about the format the recipient needs.
Do not fill this template with invented quotations, test results, owners or deadlines. If the relevant passage is inaudible or no longer accessible, leave its check unfinished.
Send and correct the copied note manually
Before sharing, open the original link again and note whether it is accessible to you; that does not guarantee access for the recipient. Include the date you checked it and an instruction to report an inaccessible source. Share only the permitted amount of text.
Give your document a simple revision label of your own. If you later find an error, record the old conclusion, corrected conclusion, supporting passage and reason. Send the correction to recipients through your chosen channel and identify which earlier copy it replaces. Editing text in Damas does not update copies already pasted elsewhere; this method assumes no synchronization or access-revocation feature.
No external LLM is needed. Optional formatting in another LLM requires permission to share the text and a fresh check of every result; it is not a Damas integration.
Use transcription for the starting text and quotation checking for exact words. For translated evidence, use the meaning comparison before handing it on. Damas gives you editable, copyable text for this review.
Processing time and accuracy vary. Damas does not download media, accept file uploads, dub speech, embed subtitles or process offline. Premium cannot bypass source restrictions.
